My muse came forth today and lead me along the path of small projects.  I made a couple of tags, a card and started another alphabet sheet which at present has no direction.  It's wonderful to complete short and sweet projects that evoke feeling of happiness.

Once Upon A Time

Once a upon a time, what a great way to start a story.  The story of this piece began several months ago when I was playing with left over coffee and a scrap pieces of Arches paper.  I had set it aside until just recently when a fellow calligrapher ask to use some of my work in her educational exhibit.  On it's return I was inspired to add a few more touches.  Is the story over, well we will see.......

Just Playing Around

My schedule has been crazy with my new job, but it will settle down soon.  Meanwhile, I have taken a few minutes here and there to play in my studio.   Here are a couple of my  "Just Playing Around" pieces. 

  I used watercolor paper,  watercolors, FW ink and my Fanciful Outline Alphabet stamp, an owl stamp and Pearl Ex paints.

Inspiring Class

I gave myself a New Year's present and signed up for "The Key to Publishing & Building Creative Momentum" with Jenny Doh. If you haven't been to the Crescendoh website, make that your next stop.  Jenny is my guru, she's straightforward, comprehensible and facilitates a thriving learning environment.   I was primarily interested in how to get published in books and how to go about publishing. Her class was not only informative, but inspiring in many aspects. Without giving away too much of the class, here is one of my completed homework assignments.

Mind Full of Flowers

Flowers have been occupying my thoughts, especially since the trees are so bare and the days are more on the gray side.  I pulled out my flower garden piece and gave it some much needed attention.  Yes, I finally finished this piece!  Now my next task is to find a beautiful, well priced frame to accentuate this flowery piece.  Hope your day is full of flowery thought.
